The Secret of Manifesting Desires

Some say that without goals you can achieve nothing in life, nor can you become successful. I disagree. There is another way, a way which is far easier.

I have always known that there was more to this world than meets the eye. Don't ask me how I know, but something inside tells me so, perhaps my inner being or spirit, call it what you will but it is there in each of us. There is no denying that. While the majority of us struggle to make ends meet, the rest are partaking of fruits of a sweetness we could only dream of.

Attracting wealth appears to be something only very few people are skilled at. The rest of us are all fighting over the scraps left over by the rich, and as a result of that, sadly many people have just given up and resigned themselves to living mediocre or poor lives. Believe it or not, there is a quick and easy solution that will have us manifesting desires in a surprisngly short time.

The Key To Manifesting Desires

A year ago I came across a book called At Your Command and this book was written by Neville Goddard, an intriguing man who believed that The Bible was not based upon historical fact, but on lessons that were outlined by wise men to teach humanity how to use the power of our minds.

Here is an excerpt from his book At Your Command: You are told, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and all things shall be added unto you." Get first the consciousness of the things that you are seeking and leave the things alone. This is what is meant by, "Ye shall decree a thing and it shall come to pass."

Neville Goddard who was born in Barbados in 1905, moved to the United States as a 17 year old to study drama and soon became interested in the powers of the mind when he was given some books on "mind power" whilst touring England with his dance company. He later studied "Esoteric Christianity" and from then on devoted his life to spirituality.

When explaining the use of The Law or The Law of Attraction Neville often gave an example of a time when he himself used it to great effect. At the time, Neville was in New York and Christmas was approaching. While one day walking down the street, he suddenly felt a deep yearning to be home with his family in Barbados, so he began to use The Law to manifest his desire.

The Manifestation Process

First of all, as he was walking through the streets of New York, he imagined he was walking through the streets of Barbados, his home and saw the streets lined with palm trees and the architecture with which he was familiar with back home. He refused to accept the proof of his senses and instead relied on his imaginative power infused with emotional power.

That night Neville slept as though he were in Barbados and thought of New York as being 2,000 miles to the north. It wasn't long before he received a letter from his brother in Barbados asking him to return home for Christmas so that the Goddard family could be together and incredibly, his brother had paid for his ticket and included money to cover Neville's personal expenses.

So despite having no money and no way of getting to Barbados, he still managed it. Why? Because he believed in the power of his mind, he knew that man's imaginal activity eventually must manifest in the physical realm.

The 3 Steps to Manifesting Desires

  1. Work out what it is you desire, whether you wish to manifest wealth or a desired circumstance as in Neville's case.
  2. Lull yourself into a sleepy, drowsy state and then imagine a scene that would take place had you already achieved your aim. For example, if you desired a certain amount of money you would find a comfortable chair, relax in it, close your eyes and then wait for the period that comes just before you fall asleep. Remaining in control, you would then picture yourself holding the money either as a cheque or cash, or you might see the money in your bank balance.
  3. Finally, a most important ingredient must be added if you wish to manifest your desires. Emotion! Summon the feeling that you would feel if you already had what you desire. Elation, satisfaction, joy or gratitude.

Once you have done all three, go to sleep and allow your creative mind to bring forth your desires into reality.

It is also important that your inner speech matches the vibrations of your desire fulfilled. Think and act as though you already have what you once desired, that is what "real" prayer is, that is real faith in God.

``Your inner speech mirrors your mind, and your mind mirrors God. If you

do not change your thoughts, you haven't changed their activity. And if

you do not change their activity, the conditions of your life cannot

change, for they are only bearing witness to the inner action of your

mind." - Neville Goddard
